Description
Birdwatching has taught me mindfulness and shown me that being still and patient is key. Whether or not I get to spot something in that period of time is not the focus but it is a bonus.
I watched this Gray Jay for some time.....flitting around the trees, preening, watching me watching him.....and then right in front of me he landed on the seeder and sat, in what I would interpret as 'bird mindfulness' before nestling in to have a snack. The eye contact we had was so profound -an "eye-to-eye epiphanie" of inter-species recognition and empathy.
And then....I took the picture
